August is NRAA Facility Tour Month
The month of August serves as a district work period for Members of Congress to spend the entire month at home with their family and constituents. Consequently, August presents a great opportunity to schedule facility tours with your elected representatives. These visits allow NRAA Members an opportunity to show elected officials how patients benefit from high quality life-saving dialysis therapies, how many patients are cared for, how many committed staffers contribute to that care, and how that care is funded. This allows us to better explain to them why adequate Medicare funding is so critical and the current challenges we face within the Medicare program. NRAA is asking all NRAA Members to request a visit during the August district/state work period in early July.
Inviting Your Elected Officials is Easy

The Facility Tour Toolkit for NRAA Members
The NRAA Facility Tour Toolkit can greatly expand your advocacy efforts. Using the NRAA Facility Tour Toolkit, NRAA Members can learn step-by-step instructions on how to arrange for a Member of Congress to visit your dialysis facility and meet your patients, staff, and community partners. Facility tours are an excellent opportunity to educate your elected officials and candidates for office about the care you provide to a vulnerable patient population and the importance of the Medicare ESRD program.
NRAA Members can access the NRAA Facility Tour Toolkit by logging into the members only section.
